• Miami Beach & Miami Join to Operate a Free Art Week Shuttle Service
    Service Connects to Existing Transportation Loops December 2 through 6, 2015

    The City of Miami Beach, in conjunction with the City of Miami and Miami-Dade County Transit,  will be providing trolley services between Midtown Miami and the Miami Beach Convention Center for the 2015 Miami Beach Art Week and Art Basel event.  There will be two routes, an east-west (inter-city) route that will connect the City of Miami with the City of Miami Beach via the Julia Tuttle Causeway (I-195), and a north-south (intra-city) route that will run through South, Middle and North Beach serving populations traveling within the City of Miami Beach.

    There will be two stops (the “41st Street & Royal Palm Ave” stop and the “Convention Center Dr. & 17th Street” stop) that will serve as connection/ transfer points between the two routes. Trolleys travelling between Miami and Miami Beach will arrive every 15 minutes at each stop and the trolleys traveling within Miami Beach will arrive every 30 minutes. All routes will be running from Wednesday, December 2 – Sunday, December 6 from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. (Thursday-Saturday) and 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. (Sunday only).

    North/South Loop:

    - 10 Street & Washington Ave

    - Convention Center Dr & 17 Street (Northbound)

    - 17 Street & Washington Ave (Southbound)

    - 18 Street & Purdy Ave - Maurice Gibb Memorial Park (Water Taxi Stop)

    Middle Beach Stops

    - 41 Street & Royal Palm Ave

    - 46 Street & Collins Avenue

    North Beach Stops

    - 72 Street & Collins Avenue (Bandshell Park)

    Note: Connection to the Fifth Street & Alton Garage from the Convention Center is provided by the South Beach Local/Route 123 - Park and Ride ($0.25 fare)

     

    Water Taxi Schedule:

    From Thursday, December 3, 2015 to Sunday, December 6, 2015

    Departs from Purdy Boat Ramp (Maurice Gibbs Park) every 90 minutes. The City's Art Basel shuttle will be providing a connection to the water taxi as well. See schedule here.

      • Adults: $15.00 
      • Children 4-12 years old: $10.00
      • Children under 4 years old: FREE
      • Miami Beach Residents: $10.00 
       
    • Round Trip
      • Adults:$30.00 
      • Children 4-12 years old: $20.00
      • Children under 4 years old: FREE
      • Miami Beach Residents: $20.00 
       

    The City’s Art Basel shuttle will be providing a connection to the water taxi at the scheduled times.
