How Can I Request Records?
Submit a request via email, fax, or in person. Download the form by clicking here: Records Request Form
Email the form to firstname.lastname@example.org, or fax it to 786.394.4050. Also, a request may be completed at the Records window, located at the Building Department’s second floor lobby. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., excluding holidays. Records Section / Records Request time of operation should be 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Closed for lunch noon – 1 p.m.)
What Types Of Records Are Kept?
Permit and Inspections history, permit drawings, permit applications, and various other Building related documents. All records are available on letter to ledger size prints. Digitized documents are also available on CD.
The Building Department has an inventory of Building Cards which is the permit history of a building from inception to 1989.
How long does it take?
The process usually takes between five to seven business days. Permit drawings that have already been digitized can be processed within minutes.
