OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT & BUDGET

The Office of Management and Budget is responsible for ensuring the financial stability and efficiency of operations for the City. The primary responsibility of this function is the development, presentation, and monitoring of the City’s annual budget in accordance with the requirements of Florida Statutes 200.065, commonly referred to as Truth In Millage (TRIM).

Goverment Finance Officers Association

City Honored with Distinguished Budget Presentation Award – Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) awarded the City of Miami Beach its Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for its budget for the years 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007. This reflects the commitment of the governing body and staff to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting. Award recipients have pioneered efforts to improve the quality of budgeting and provide an excellent example for other governments throughout North America.
