PAID HOLIDAYS

(Fire Department personnel: refer to the I.A.F.F. contract.)

The following 15 days have been designated by the City Commission as paid legal holidays for City Employees. If the holiday falls on a Saturday, it is generally observed on the preceding Friday; if the holiday falls on a Sunday, it is generally observed on the following Monday.

• Martin L. King’s Birthday (3rd Monday in January)
• Presidents’ Day (3rd Monday in February)
• Memorial Day
• Juneteenth
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Veterans Day (Observed November 11th)
• Thanksgiving Day
• The day following Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day
• 3 Floating Holidays
• Employee’s Birthday
