Department Work Plans

Each department work plan contains supporting department activities that were developed to drive performance improvement as well as department performance measures that will be used throughout the year to determine if the department is on track in its support activities. Department work plans are required to support the City’s strategic planning priorities and are the basis upon which recommendations for enhancements, reduction alignments, and efficiencies are made. The City Manager has a preliminary meeting with each department to review the department’s proposed work plan priorities and ensure that they support the strategic priorities. Factors critical to the success of the department’s work plan, while not necessarily financial, are also discussed.
