FAQs Q. What do I do if I am homeless?
A. If you are homeless in Miami Beach, call 305.604.4663, Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm for direct staff assistance or stop by our office at 555 – 17th Street. After a short intake and assessment, our office can assist you with emergency shelter, relocation services (if you have family or friends willing to provide you help in another city within the contiguous United States), transportation tokens and referrals to food, clothing and more.
Q. I am being evicted from my apartment. What can I do?
A. Come to the first floor in City Hall, located in 1700 Convention Center Drive, Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 3:30 pm, with the following documents:
- Eviction or 3-day notice
- Photo identification
- Social Security card
- Proof of income and household expensesStaff will conduct an intake and assessment, review available community resources and refer you to a community agency that can address your needs.
Q. My child is in need of tutoring. Where do I call?
A.Our office offers a variety of programs for youth enrolled in our Miami Beach Feeder Pattern schools. Call 305.673.7491 for more information and eligibility requirements.
