What is the I. V. R. System?
The City of Miami Beach Building Department proudly introduces the I.V.R. (Interactive
Voice Response) System. The new inspection system will accept your inspection request or
cancellation and will give you information on inspection results. This new voice response
system has been designed to perform these functions without having to speak to a customer
service representative. The number is:

Who can use the I. V. R. System?
Anyone who has access to a touch-tone service telephone can use the I. V. R. System. If
you use a rotary-dial phone, your call will automatically transfer to a customer service
representative.
Why use the I. V. R. System?
It's convenient! By calling 305-673-7370, your call will be answered by the
voice response system which provides the City of Miami Beach Building Inspection
information directly from our records.
Too busy to call?...No problem! For your convenience, the I. V. R. System is
available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call anytime the I. V. R. System does not take
time out.
It's fast! The I. V. R. System is designed to
respond immediately to incoming calls.
It's easy! From the moment your call is
answered until you hang up, the I. V. R. System guides you every step of the way.
Q. What do you need prior to calling the IVR for an
inspection request?
A. You MUST use a touch-tone telephone. Your six (6) digit contractors pin number, the
permit number and the four (4) digit inspection code number.

C. Press in your six (6) digit PIN number and then the "#"
sign
D. Press for the Permit Type

E. Press in your Permit Number
F. Press in the Inspection Code (a recording will notify you that
your inspection is pending as of [that date] and you know your inspection
is in the system.
