For Qualified Contractors. First-Time Users must complete the initial application/registration process:

1. Download and fill out an Online Permit Declaration Application Form (Acrobat*)
2. Sign and Notorize the form and bring or mail it to:
   The City of Miami Beach Building Department
   1700 Convention Center Drive
   Miami Beach, FL 33139
3. Submit the online Registration form - click here.
4. You will receive Email notification from the City of Miami Beach Building Department when you have been approved and activated.

The service is secure, easy to access, and simple to use. With just a few clicks of the mouse, you select the type of permit needed and provide specific details for the individual project. The system will immediately validate the information, calculate the fees, and issue the final permit electronically in minutes. You don’t even have to leave your home or office! Permit Application - You must have the Master Permit number and the Site Address when applying for a permit using this service. The Master Permit must be in an approved status. The only way to obtain the Master Permit number is to contact the General Contractor you are working with. Make sure to obtain the Master Permit number AND the Site Address!

Inspection Request - Requests for inspection can be made on-line or by calling City of Miami Beach Interactive Voice Inspection line at (305) 673-7370. Inspections are scheduled according to the Date alone. You may indicate the time in the comments but the time cannot be guaranteed. Inspection requests must be made prior to midnight for the following day.

Canceling or Rescheduling Inspections - To Cancel or Reschedule an inspection, you must call the City of Miami Beach Interactive Voice Inspection line at 305-673-7370.

Printing from the kiosk at City Hall: Printed forms can be picked up at the Licensing Counter on the first floor of City Hall.
