The Fleet Management Department maintains and repairs the City's fleet of 850 motor vehicles including emergency response, motorcycles, sedans, light trucks, beach crafts, and other heavy rolling stock.  The division also maintains the Electrowave buses on a 24 hour, seven days a week - 365 days a year basis.  It oversees the perpetual warehouse inventory of fleet parts, and develops minimum criteria and standards for vehicle and equipment specifications. The division partners with the user departments in identifying specifications for special use vehicles, provides training in the operation and use of equipment and ensures that vehicles meet or exceed OSHA safety standards.
