Beach Hosts the National Lifeguard Championships –
Miami Beach will be
hosting the Foster’s 2001 National Lifeguard Championships between

– In the City’s continuing efforts to
address quality of life issues, the Department of Code Compliance
continues to enforce City codes that affect its residents. One problem
residents living in a single-family district are faced with is homes
that are being rented on a short-term basis to large groups, usually for
parties.

New Film & Print Guidelines

new guidelines for the film and photography industry
that requires permitting provisions for residential areas. The

Boat Show Sets Anchor in Miami Beach --
Park
& Ride Transportation Available --
Celebrating
its 60th anniversary, this year's show will feature the latest
powerboats, engines, electronics, and accessories from 2,300
exhibitors on more than 2.5 million square feet of exhibition
space. The Miami
International Boat and Sailboat Show is the world's
largest consumer marine exhibition. The show will be open from
February 15 through 20, 2001. Newly Renovated Meridian Bridge
Gets New Name -
On
Tuesday, January 30, the City will dedicate the newly renovated
Meridian Avenue Bridge as the "Holocaust
Memorial Bridge." The ceremony will take place
at 10:30 a.m. on Meridian Avenue and Dade Boulevard.
