Miami Beach Holds Town Hall Community Meeting 
on Memorial Day Weekend Plan

Miami Beach, FL – The City of Miami Beach will hold a community town hall meeting on Monday, May 12, 2003 at 6:00 p.m. to discuss plans and disseminate information for this year’s Memorial Day Weekend. The meeting will be held in the City Commission Chambers, third floor, City Hall. 

As part of the City’s Major Events Planning process, the City engages participation with the hotel and nightlife industries, commercial districts and businesses, other agencies and municipalities, and residents. 

The City developed a Major Events Plan in 2001 and has successfully implemented the plan on several occasions over the last two years. As a beach community, the City has emerged as a preeminent special event venue, which has created a significant demand on the City services and resources. The City’s overall goal is to attract quality events that benefit the community, its residents, visitors and merchants. 

The City encourages cooperation and respect among all who live, work and play in the City to ensure that everyone’s experience is safe and pleasant.
