Learn How to Inspire People and Influence the Future
-- Neighborhood Workshop to Empower Miami Beach Residents --

Miami Beach – Have you ever wondered what is involved in the establishment of a neighborhood association? Now is the time to become part of the solution to many neighborhood concerns. The City of Miami Beach Neighborhood Services Department is hosting a workshop to assist those residents who have thought of developing a neighborhood association. All Miami Beach residents are invited to participate.
The workshop will be held on Monday, April 21 at 7:00 p.m. in the Commission Chambers, City Hall, 1700 Convention Center Drive , Miami Beach .

“Improving our community takes a lot of work. As community organizers, we know all too well that we can't do it alone,” said Vivian Guzman, director, Neighborhood Services Department. “The ability to help develop individuals and organizational partners -- both inside and outside the community -- is absolutely essential.”
The City of Miami Beach plans to continue the work started at this workshop in a more comprehensive workshop during the celebration of National Civic Participation Week in the fall. The City also plans to make resources available to the community at large through the Neighborhood Leadership Academy training.
