PUBLIC INFORMATION WORKSHOP FOR THE 
EVALUATION OF RAPID TRANSIT OPTIONS FOR MIAMI BEACH 

Miami Beach, FL -- The City of Miami Beach will hold a Public Information Workshop regarding the evaluation of rapid transit options for Miami Beach. This is the second of two workshops being held for this study. The Workshop will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2003 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the Eden Roc Hotel’s Mona Lisa Room (lobby level), located at 4525 Collins Avenue, in Miami Beach. Parking is available at the parking lot north of the hotel. 

The Workshop will focus on the issues related to fitting a potential new transit project into the unique environment of Miami Beach, as well as looking at possibilities for improved transit service in Mid Beach and North Beach. The workshop will open with a presentation of some of the preliminary findings from the City’s independent review of rapid transit options. Following this presentation, participants will be encouraged to share their thoughts and ideas during a question and answer session. Project information will also be displayed for review.
