  • Summer Camp

    Fun adventures await you at Miami Beach Parks and Recreation. Structured and supervised summer camp programs are conducted at each site with fun-filled activities for everyone. We offer games, sports, arts & crafts, field trips, theme events, ice skating, tournaments & much more.  Registration is mandatory. Registration for Miami Beach Residents is on May 11, 2009 and Non-Residents may register on May 26, 2009. On-line registrations are not completed until participant paperwork and proof of residency is shown and completed at the site of camp or at 21st Street Recreation Center.  Please contact the facility for more information on the necessary paperwork.

    Summer Camp Fees
    Residents: $500 ($275 for sibling)
    Non-Residents: $750 ($500 for sibling)
    * Fee includes $50 activity fee.
    * 5 year old children, who will be entering kindergarten in the fall, may be accepted on a trial basis at a facility accepting primers. Birth certificate required. Trial Week Fee: $50 res. ($100 non-res.) 

    Counselor in Training Program
    Miami Beach teens (grades 11-12) are eligible to be interviewed for the CIT Program. Participants will learn the necessary skills to become future recreation professionals. Teens must be able to work the full nine weeks and will be trained by our staff. Must apply in person, with their last report card at the camp site of their interest no later than May 12. Limited enrollment. Selections based on grade point average, camp experience & leadership ability.
    Activity fee: $50

    Proof of Residency Requirements
    One of the following: Lease or 
    property tax statement AND Two of the following: Picture ID, voter’s card, drivers license, utility bill. All proof of residency must match. Plus a copy of participant’s report card for all program locations. We may require additional documentation.

    Enrollment Cards
    Participants presenting enrollment cards MUST show proof of residency and may be required to fill out additional forms.

    Scholarships
    Fee reduction and/or waivers are available for qualified Miami Beach residents. Sibling discounts are also available for those who qualify. No Miami Beach child will be excluded from a recreation program based on their inability to pay. Please click scholarships for more information.
