Flamingo Park is located in the heart of South Beach. Construction of this 36.53 acre park dates back to 1950. In 2002, the newly renovated Flamingo Aquatic Center was re-opened and in 2005, the tot lot/playground was opened along with a state-of-the-art football field. As of 2006 continued renovations are still to come as part of the capital improvements G.O. bond project.
