Making A Police Report
If this is an emergency, dial 911 You can make a police report either in person or by calling the non-emergency line (305-673-7900) to have an officer respond to you.
In Person There are two ways you can make a police report, in person, with a police officer.
• You can respond to the Miami Beach Police Department Headquarters located at 1100 Washington Avenue to report incidents that occurred in the City of Miami Beach.• You can call the non-emergency telephone number, 305-673-7900, and have a police officer respond to your location.

Telephone ReportsYou can file a police report via telephone on the below list of crimes only:
• Grand and Petty Theft• Harassing Telephone Calls• Threats• Criminal Mischief (except graffiti)• Supplemental Reports

Additional Loss/Supplemental Reports If you want to update information on an existing a police report such as address or phone number or if you want to include additional information to a police report, call(305) 673-7900 (Caller will be transferred by Dispatch)
Accident/Crash ReportsIf you were involved in an accident and left the scene, the other party involved may have already made a report. If you are in the City of Miami Beach, contact 305-673-7900 and have a police officer respond to investigate, otherwise, please call 305-673-7888 (the accident investigation office) during business hours and speak with an investigator. You may be asked for information to help complete the accident investigation. If no report was made, you will be given instructions on how to obtain and prepare a "drivers report" for your insurance company.

How do I get a copy of a 911 tape?You can get a tape copy of a 9-1-1 call. The charge is $3.00 per tape. There is no charge if you provide your own tape. Contact the Records Unit at (305)673-7100 (business) or (305)673-7879 (fax) for further information.
