Ms. Turner joined the City Attorney's Office in March 1989. She specializes in legislation and land use litigation and appeals. Ms. Turner has extensive experience handling claims and litigation involving the Bert J. Harris, Jr., Private Property Rights Protection Act and has lectured on that subject at various CLE conferences throughout the State. She has also handled general civil and commercial litigation, as well as administrative law matters. Ms. Turner supervises the legal intern and fellowship program for the City Attorney’s Office and is an adjunct faculty member in the Clinical Skills Program at the University of Miami School of Law. Ms. Turner is also AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and is an alum of Leadership Miami.
Prior to joining the City Attorney's Office, Ms. Turner's areas of practice included civil litigation in the private sector, and handling major felonies and death penalty cases for the Florida Attorney General's Office.
