    Kids to Hold a Mock City Commission Meeting
    In celebration of Municipal Clerk’s Week – On Monday, May 16, 2005 at 10:00 a.m., the City of Miami Beach held the 2005 City of Miami Beach Mock Commission Meeting in celebration of National Municipal Clerk’s Week and the 90th Anniversary of the City of Miami Beach. During this event, Miami Beach High School Drama Class and Nautilus Middle School students re-enacted the first Board of Alderman meeting of April 6, 1915, with guest speaker Dr. Abraham Lavender, Professor at Florida International University and President of the Miami Beach Historical Association.
