1. Requests for Certificates of Appropriateness:

a. HPB File No. 1131; 1729 Lenox Avenue. The applicant, Joseph B. Kaller, is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness for Demolition and for New Construction for the enclosure of four (4) masonry window openings at the northeast corner of the subject building in order to accommodate a one (1) story bedroom addition.

: subject to minor conditions.
 

b. HPB File No. 1133; 100 17th Street (Eastern Terminus of 17th Street) - 17th Street Restroom Facility. The applicant, The City of Miami Beach, is a requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness for Demolition in order to demolish an existing restroom facility at the eastern terminus of 17th Street.

2. Extensions of Time

a. DRB File No. 10927J, 1042-1052 Ocean Drive, Oceanside Promenade and Waves Apartments. The applicants, 1042 Ocean Drive, Inc. and 1052 Ocean Drive, Inc., are requesting a one (1) year Extension of Time to obtain a Building Permit for a previously issued Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval for the renovation, alteration and partial demolition of an existing two (2) story mixed-used structure and an existing two (2) story apartment building in conjunction with the construction of a new two level kitchen and support component to a proposed four (4) story hotel-entertainment complex.

3. Previously Continued & New Projects Requiring Demolition:

a. DRB File No. 12317J; 1817, 1831 and 1835 James Avenue. The applicant, Bob Heyat, is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review Approval for the renovation, alteration and restoration of three (3) existing residential structures at 1817, 1831 and 1835 James Avenue, inclusive of an accessory bar and restaurant, as well as roof-top additions at 1817 and 1835 James Avenue.

b. HPB File No. 1127; 1817, 1831 and 1835 James Avenue. The applicant, Bob Heyat, is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness for Demolition for the partial demolition of three (3) existing residential structures at 1817, 1831 and 1835 James Avenue in order to accommodate roof-top additions at 1817 and 1835 James Avenue.

c. DRB File No. 12569J; 433 - 449 Lincoln Road - Jarman Building. The applicant, JDH-Lincoln, LLC, is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review Approval for the demolition, alteration and renovation of existing storefronts.

d. HPB File No. 1130; 433 - 449 Lincoln Road - Jarman Building. The applicant, JDH-Lincoln, LLC, is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness for Demolition for the demolition, alteration and renovation of existing storefronts.

e. DRB File No. 12651J, 825 Washington Avenue, The Clinton Hotel. The applicant, Clinton Hotel Investors LLC is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval for the renovation of the existing hotel structure and the construction of two (2) one-story additions to the south side of the existing structure, a one-story rooftop addition to the main building and a one-story rooftop addition to the existing north wing creating 17 new hotel units, inclusive of a new courtyard with a pool, expanded dining facilities and subterranean parking.

f. HPB File No. 1132, 825 Washington Avenue, The Clinton Hotel. The applicant, Clinton Hotel Investors LLC is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness for Demolition for the partial demolition of an existing hotel, in conjunction with the construction of two (2) one-story additions to the south side of the existing structure, a one-story rooftop addition to the main building and a one-story rooftop addition to the existing north wing creating 17 new hotel units, inclusive of a new courtyard with a pool, expanded dining facilities and subterranean parking.

4. Rehearings:

a. DRB File No. 12105J, 1020 Ocean Drive, Clevelander Hotel. Peter Szabo of 960 Collins Avenue, was granted a request for a rehearing of a Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review approval for the partial demolition, substantial renovation and restoration of an existing hotel structure and pool deck, as well as the construction of a five (5) story addition. The application was first approved at the November 16, 1999 Joint Board meeting and this rehearing will pertain to issues related to noise and sound, as well as the validity of the existing outdoor and indoor bars, patio and pool area.

APPROVED
: subject to additional conditions to address noise issues.

 
5. Previously Continued Matters:

a. DRB File No. 12319J, 1041 Collins Avenue - Park One. The applicant, Park One of Florida, Inc., is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review Approval for the removal of an existing grade level municipal parking lot in order to construct a six (6) story public parking structure, with ground level retail.

b. DRB File No. 12570J; 1040 Collins Avenue. The applicant, Sprint PCS, is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review Approval for the installation of wireless antennas and communication equipment on the roof-top of an existing residential building.

6. New Projects:

1. DRB File No. 12760J, 928 Ocean Drive - Deco Walk. The applicant, Park Adult Residential Facility Inc., is requesting an "after-the-fact" Certificate of Appropriateness and Design Review Approval for the installation of a cooler and sales counter in front of the terrace of an existing structure.

7. Revisions to Previously Approved Plans

a. DRB File No. 11471, 2021 - 2031 Meridian Avenue - Meridian Manor. The applicant, Jonathan Fryd, is requesting Design Review approval for a new parking court and landscape plan, as required by the Final Order for the construction of an eight (8) unit, five (5) story townhome-apartment building to be located between two existing garden-style structures.

8. Previously Continued Matters

a. DRB File No. 11989, 100 Washington Avenue - Courts at South Beach. The applicant, Courts at South Beach, Ltd., is requesting Design Review Approval for a one (1) story commercial structure with a drive-thru on block 380, revisions to the exterior design of the structures on block 78 and 778, and the redesign of phase four (4) of the project including the reintroduction of Meridian Avenue, as well as an eight (8) level residential structure with ground level commercial space.

b. DRB File No. 12316, 1021 Bay Drive - Le Lofts. The applicant, 910 Country Club Prado, Inc., is requesting Design Review Approval for a twelve (12) unit, five (5) story apartment building.

9. New Projects:

a. DRB File No. 12761, 4835 Collins Avenue. The applicant, Jean Jaque Murray, is requesting Design Review Approval for the construction of a 198 unit, nineteen (19) story apartment building.

b. DRB File No. 12763, 250 West 63rd Street - AQUA on Allison Island. The applicant, 63rd Street Associates, Ltd., is requesting Design Review Approval for a new multi-family development community consisting of the demolition of three (3) existing structures, the renovation of the existing Morris Tower and conversion to residential use, the construction of 47, three (3) and four (4) story townhomes on the south, west and north sides of the site, the construction of a twelve (12) story, 62 unit structure on the east side of the site and the construction of an eleven (11) story structure on the east side of the site.
