A public information meeting will take place on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at the Miami Beach Golf Course at 6 p.m. to discuss the pedestrian bridge aesthetics. Project Limits

Scope of Work 
Vehicular bridge on West Avenue over the Collins Canal from 17 Street to 18 Street:

  • Constructing one southbound and one northbound travel lane
  • Constructing a dedicated southbound left turn lane
  • Constructing new sidewalk on both sides of the bridge
  • Installing new pavement markings
  • Installing handrails on barrier walls
  • The Vehicular bridge was completed on Thursday, October 26, 2017

A separate pedestrian bridge will be constructed at Lincoln Court over the Collins Canal. Four aesthetic options will be presented to the community at the public information meeting on Thursday, May 3, 2018

Roadway improvements on Dade Boulevard between the Venetian Causeway and Alton Road include:

  • Elevating the roadway
  • Constructing new curb, gutter and sidewalks
  • Installing new signage and pavement markings
  • Installing new street lighting
  • Matching the new roadway elevation to existing driveways
  • Installing signalization at the following locations:
    o Purdy Avenue and Dade Boulevard
    o Bay Road and Dade Boulevard
    o West Avenue and Dade Boulevard
  • Lighting and signalization improvements are expected to be complete at the end of May 2018

Start Date: October 2016
Substantial Completion Date: October 2018
