Youth And Family Services
The Office of Community Services serves and advocates for all those who live, work and play in the City of Miami Beach through partnerships, coalitions, and special initiatives. Our services include rent/ utility assistance, serving as a community referral agency, and serving as an ACCESS Florida site for the Department of Children and Families.

Our office offers a variety of programs for youth enrolled in our Miami Beach Feeder Pattern schools. Call 305.673.7491 for more information and eligibility requirements.
If you are homeless in Miami Beach, call 305.604.4663, Monday through Friday, 8:30 A.M. – 3:30 P.M. for direct staff assistance or stop by our office at 555 – 17th Street. After a short intake and assessment, our office can assist you with emergency shelter, relocation services (if you have family or friends willing to provide you help in another city within the contiguous United States), transportation tokens and referrals to food, clothing and more.
Come to 555 17th ST, Miami Beach, FL 33139, rear entrance, Monday through Friday, 8:30 A.M. – 5:00 P.M., with the following documents:
- Eviction or 3-day notice
- Valid Government-issued identification for all household members
- Original Social Security card for all household members
- Current lease
- Household proof of income
- Household expenses
- Bank statements for the past 90 days
Staff will conduct an intake and assessment & provide direct assistance, if eligible. If not eligible, City staff will refer you to a community based provider to address your needs.
