Imagination Playground

CORONAVIRUS COVID-19 UPDATE

The World Health Organization has officially deemed this current outbreak of the coronavirus COVID-19 a pandemic. As such, both the Governor of the State of Florida and the Miami-Dade County Mayor have issued official state of emergency declarations.

In response to this and in an effort to keep our residents and visitors safe, the City of Miami Beach is evaluating all events and measures to be taken. Please check the City’s Coronavirus COVID-19 web page frequently for updates.

Let Your Imagination Run Wild!

The City of Miami Beach Parks and Recreation Department is excited to debut one of the first Imagination Playgrounds in South Florida. The City has had Imagination Playground’s product on the radar as they have strived to bring original, creative, unique, artistic and cost-effective play systems for all to enjoy. This product has been instrumental for cities with limited park and playground space — allowing for mobile and innovative play in non-traditional park spaces such as parking lots, vacant lots and roof tops. “Using Imagination Playground blocks, children have endless opportunities to create a world of their own,” said Cindy Casanova, Parks & Recreation Assistant Director. ”From space ships, castles, trucks and robots, they’re able to engineer whatever sparks their imagination.” The Parks and Recreation Department will be bringing the Imagination Playground to several locations throughout the City as part of a “pop-up park” initiative which began January 2019.
