Stellvertretender Chef Paul Acosta<\/strong>ist seit 32 Jahren in der Polizei t\u00e4tig und begann seine Karriere im Bundesstaat North Carolina, wo er unter anderem beim Kinston Police Department und der North Carolina State Highway Patrol diente. Deputy Chief Acosta trat 1995 dem Miami Beach Police Department bei. Im Laufe seiner Karriere hatte er viele verschiedene Funktionen inne, darunter stellvertretender Polizeichef, Major der Kriminalpolizei und Streifendienstabteilung, Leiter der SWAT-Teams (Special Weapons and Tactics), des Katastrophenschutzamtes und der Motorradeinheit. Deputy Chief Acosta diente ehrenhaft im United States Marine Corps. Er nahm an drei gro\u00dfen milit\u00e4rischen Konflikten teil: Operation Sharp Edge (Rettung von Amerikanern aus Liberia), Operation Desert Shield und Desert Storm (Befreiung Kuwaits). F\u00fcr seine Leistungen auf dem Schlachtfeld erhielt er das Combat Action Ribbon und die renommierte Navy\/Marine Corps Achievement Medal.<\/p>\n

Deputy Chief Acosta hat einen Bachelor of Science in Strafjustizmanagement vom Union Institute and University und hat seine Ausbildung mit dem Senior Management in Policing (SMIP) der Boston University und dem IACP-Kurs \u201eLeadership in Police Organizations\u201c fortgesetzt. Er besuchte au\u00dferdem die FBI National Academy Session #278 in Quantico, Virginia.
