Mark Taxis&#039; F\u00e4higkeit, sich an eine schnelllebige politische Agenda anzupassen, macht ihn zum idealen Kandidaten f\u00fcr eine internationale Stadt wie Miami Beach.<\/p>\n<p>Er ist seit 2013 als stellvertretender Stadtdirektor bei der Stadt Miami Beach t\u00e4tig. Als stellvertretender Stadtdirektor arbeitet Mark Taxis eng mit dem Stadtdirektor zusammen und unterst\u00fctzt ihn in Angelegenheiten der Betriebs- und Finanzt\u00e4tigkeiten, der Programmentwicklung und der Produktivit\u00e4tssteigerung. Mark Taxis ist derzeit verantwortlich f\u00fcr die Einhaltung von Vorschriften, das Personalwesen, die Informationstechnologie, die Bereiche Parks und Freizeit sowie Einrichtungen und das Fuhrparkmanagement. In der Vergangenheit hat er seine Erfahrung und Beratung in den Bereichen \u00f6ffentliche Arbeiten, Kapitalverbesserungen, Immobilienverwaltung, Schnelleinsatzteam, Fuhrparkwartung und Strandpflege eingebracht. Man kann wohl behaupten, dass Mark Taxis seit seinem Eintritt in die Stadt Miami Beach ein perfekter Teamplayer ist, der \u00fcberall dort seine Unterst\u00fctzung leistet, wo sie ben\u00f6tigt wird. Er war Verhandlungsf\u00fchrer bei den Gewerkschaftsverhandlungen der Stadt Miami Beach und hat dort erfolgreich Vertr\u00e4ge mit der International Association of Fire Fighters (\u201eIAFF\u201c), dem Fraternal Order of Police (\u201eFOP\u201c), den Communications Workers of America (\u201eCWA\u201c), der Government Supervisors Association of Florida (\u201eGSAF\u201c) und der American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (\u201eAFSCME\u201c) ausgehandelt. W\u00e4hrend seiner Amtszeit als stellvertretender Stadtdirektor leitete Mark Taxis pers\u00f6nlich die Implementierung eines Finanz-ERP-Systems (Munis) und eines Genehmigungs-ERP-Systems (Energov). Dar\u00fcber hinaus ist er pers\u00f6nlich f\u00fcr die Entwicklung einer st\u00e4dtischen Dienstleistungsanwendung (Egov) und der neuen Website der Stadt Miami Beach verantwortlich.<\/p>\n<p>Bevor er zur Stadt Miami Beach kam, hatte Mark Taxis F\u00fchrungspositionen bei Kommunen in S\u00fcdflorida inne und war stellvertretender Stadtdirektor der Stadt Doral. Als stellvertretender Stadtdirektor von Doral fungierte er als Performance Management Officer der Stadt, was die Umsetzung und \u00dcberwachung des strategischen Plans und der Leistungskennzahlen der Stadt umfasste. In dieser Funktion verwaltete Mark Taxis alle Phasen von Kapitalverbesserungsprojekten, vom Reclaim Water Project bis zum Bau des neuen City Government Center. Vor seinem Aufstieg zum stellvertretenden Stadtdirektor war Mark Taxis Direktor f\u00fcr Parks und Freizeit der Stadt Doral, wo er die Masterpl\u00e4ne f\u00fcr vier (4) st\u00e4dtische Parks initiierte, einholte und abschloss. Au\u00dferdem sicherte er Design-Build-Vertr\u00e4ge und \u00fcberwachte den Bau von Projekten im Gesamtwert von \u00fcber $20 Millionen.<\/p>\n<p>Mark Taxis erwarb seinen Bachelor of Arts in Politikwissenschaft an der Florida International University in S\u00fcdflorida. Sp\u00e4ter kehrte er an die Florida International University zur\u00fcck, um seinen Master of Public Administration zu erwerben. Dennoch ist er nach wie vor ein begeisterter Football-Fan der Florida State Seminoles. Mark Taxis ist Mitglied der International City\/County Management Association (\u201eICMA\u201c) und der Florida City\/County Management Association (\u201eFCCMA\u201c). Dar\u00fcber hinaus war er Pr\u00e4sident der Miami-Dade City and County Management Association (\u201eMDCCMA\u201c).<\/p>\n<p>Mark Taxis&#039; Leidenschaft f\u00fcr Miami Beach r\u00fchrt daher, dass er schon als Kind mit seinen Eltern Wochenenden in Miami Beach verbrachte. Bis heute erinnert sich Mark Taxis am liebsten an 14<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Street und Ocean Drive. Hier verliebte sich sein Vater 1944 in Miami Beach, als er w\u00e4hrend seiner Ausbildung vor dem Einsatz im Shepley Hotel \u00fcbernachtete.
