Dan war US-Truman-Stipendiat an Universit\u00e4t und Jura und diente als ausgezeichneter Bundesanwalt in S\u00fcdflorida. Anschlie\u00dfend wurde er vom ehemaligen Senator Sam Nunn zum Leiter des renommierten St\u00e4ndigen Untersuchungsausschusses des US-Senats ernannt, wo er Untersuchungen zu Betrug, Verschwendung und Missbrauch in der Regierung sowie zur Terrorismusbek\u00e4mpfung leitete. Er kehrte nach S\u00fcdflorida zur\u00fcck und diente zehn Jahre lang im Repr\u00e4sentantenhaus und Senat des Bundesstaates, wo er einstimmig zum demokratischen F\u00fchrer gew\u00e4hlt wurde. Dan praktiziert als Anwalt bei der Kanzlei Gelber Schachter Greenberg LLP und ist in\u00a0<em>Beste Anw\u00e4lte Amerikas<\/em>\u00a0und ist der einzige Anwalt in Florida, der in seinem T\u00e4tigkeitsbereich das Ranking \u201eEminent Practitioner\u201c erreicht hat.\u00a0<em>Chambers USA<\/em>.<\/p>\r\n<p>Dan ist mit der Bundesanw\u00e4ltin Joan Silverstein verheiratet.
