Seine Tochter Capri besucht eine \u00f6ffentliche Schule in Miami Beach, und seine Vaterrolle pr\u00e4gt seine Sicht auf die Stadt \u2013 nicht nur so, wie sie heute ist, sondern auch als den Ort, an dem sie und die n\u00e4chste Generation aufwachsen werden.<\/p>\n<p>Zweitens ist er der Sohn von Joe Sr. und Donna. Aufgewachsen in Pennsylvania, wurde Joe mit einem starken Familiensinn und dem Wert harter Arbeit erzogen \u2013 Prinzipien, die ihn sein ganzes Leben und seine Karriere \u00fcber begleitet haben.<\/p>\n<p>Joe schloss sein Studium der Finanz- und Wirtschaftswissenschaften an der Pennsylvania State University ab, bevor er seine Karriere bei Merrill Lynch in New York im Investmentbanking und Kapitalmarktbereich begann. Sp\u00e4ter war er als Vizepr\u00e4sident bei der Deutschen Bank im Bereich Kommunalkapitalm\u00e4rkte t\u00e4tig und betreute Hunderte von St\u00e4dten und Gemeinden in den gesamten USA. Nach seinem Umzug nach Miami Beach setzte er seine Karriere als Senior Vice President bei Loop Capital fort. Heute ist Joe Senior Partner und Leiter der Gesch\u00e4ftsentwicklung bei Fortuna Investment, einer Risikokapital- und Beratungsgesellschaft.<\/p>\n<p>Nachdem Joe jahrelang mit St\u00e4dten im ganzen Land zusammengearbeitet hatte, wandte er sich seiner Heimatstadt zu. F\u00fcr ihn ist Miami Beach ein Paradies, und sein Grund f\u00fcr den Eintritt in den \u00f6ffentlichen Dienst war einfach: Er wollte dazu beitragen, eine au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnliche Stadt noch besser zu machen.<\/p>\n<p>Als Stadtrat von Miami Beach und Vorsitzender des Finanzausschusses hat Joe seine Finanzexpertise ins Rathaus eingebracht und sich dabei auf Haushaltsdisziplin und eine effizientere Verwaltung konzentriert. Zu seinen Erfolgen z\u00e4hlen Einsparungen in Millionenh\u00f6he bei gleichzeitigem Erhalt der B\u00fcrgerleistungen, Senkung der Grundsteuer, Streichung unn\u00f6tiger Ausgaben, F\u00f6rderung von Bildungschancen f\u00fcr die lokale Jugend und die Umgestaltung von Brachfl\u00e4chen in lebendige, fu\u00dfg\u00e4ngerfreundliche Viertel.<\/p>\n<p>Joe ist jedoch der Ansicht, dass gute Regierungsf\u00fchrung auch im Alltag sp\u00fcrbar sein sollte. Zu seinen Priorit\u00e4ten geh\u00f6ren die Beschleunigung von Genehmigungsverfahren, die Bek\u00e4mpfung des Sargassum-Algenbefalls, die Unterst\u00fctzung lokaler Gemeinschaften und die Schaffung von mehr M\u00f6glichkeiten f\u00fcr die Bewohner, zusammenzukommen. Er setzt sich au\u00dferdem daf\u00fcr ein, den Fokus im M\u00e4rz in Miami Beach durch gro\u00df angelegte, integrative Sport- und Fitnessveranstaltungen auf Gesundheit, Wohlbefinden, Fitness und Langlebigkeit zu lenken.<\/p>\n<p>Dieses Engagement f\u00fcr Wohlbefinden ist auch eine pers\u00f6nliche Angelegenheit. Fitness war schon immer Teil von Joes Lebensstil und spiegelt seine \u00dcberzeugung wider, dass die Sorge um sich selbst und die Sorge um die Gemeinschaft Hand in Hand gehen.<\/p>\n<p>Und trotz seiner Titel ist Joe der \u00dcberzeugung, dass \u00f6ffentlicher Dienst mit B\u00fcrgern\u00e4he beginnt. Man sieht ihn oft mit seinem Golfwagen durch Miami Beach fahren, wo ihn Anwohner regelm\u00e4\u00dfig anhalten, um ihn zu gr\u00fc\u00dfen, eine Frage zu stellen oder eine Idee mit ihm zu teilen.<\/p>\n<p>F\u00fcr Joe ist das genau so, wie es sein sollte.
