Dort leitete sie zudem drei Jahre lang die Victim Services Unit (VSU).<\/p>\n<p>Zuvor arbeitete Dr. Houry etwa neun Jahre lang f\u00fcr die Florida International University (FIU). Sie begann als Direktorin f\u00fcr Studentenprogramme am Honors College, wo sie f\u00fcr Gemeinschaftspartnerschaften, Auslandsstudienprogramme, Karriereberatung, besondere Veranstaltungen und Studentenorganisationen zust\u00e4ndig war. Anschlie\u00dfend war Dr. Houry stellvertretende Vizepr\u00e4sidentin f\u00fcr Engagement und half bei der Entwicklung und Koordination von Gemeinschafts- und \u00f6ffentlich-privaten Partnerschaften. Danach war Dr. Houry stellvertretende Dekanin f\u00fcr Au\u00dfenbeziehungen am Robert Stempel College of Public Health &amp; Social Work, wo sie Weiterbildungsprogramme und die wichtigste Spendenaktion des Colleges betreute. Dort arbeitete sie auch als Mitglied des Access &amp; Equity Committee der Universit\u00e4t an LGBTQIA+-Angelegenheiten.<\/p>\n<p>Houry wurde in Frankreich geboren und wuchs dort auf. Sie erwarb einen Bachelor of Arts (1999) und einen Master of Arts (2022) in Anglistik an der Universit\u00e4t Orl\u00e9ans (Frankreich), einen Master of Arts (2002) und einen Doctor of Philosophy in Geschichte (2011) an der Universit\u00e4t Miami sowie einen Master of Public Safety (2022) an der Universit\u00e4t Virginia. Ihre Interessen umfassen Sportgeschichte und Gender Studies. Ihre Dissertation befasste sich insbesondere mit amerikanischen Frauen und den modernen Olympischen Sommerspielen und untersuchte die Hindernisse, denen Frauen in ihrem Kampf um Teilnahme und Gleichberechtigung bei diesem globalen Sportereignis begegneten. In j\u00fcngerer Zeit konzentriert sie sich auf verschiedene Aspekte der Strafverfolgung.<\/p>\n<p>Houry nahm an mehreren F\u00fchrungsprogrammen teil, darunter an der Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education <i>Frauen und Macht: F\u00fchrung in einer neuen Welt<\/i>, Die <i>FIU-Pr\u00e4sidenten-F\u00fchrungsprogramm<\/i>, der Handelskammer von Greater Miami <i>F\u00fchrung Miami<\/i>und Leadership Floridas <i>Verbinden Sie Florida<\/i> Programm. Houry war au\u00dferdem Vorstandsmitglied und Mentorin der Aqua Foundation for Women. Ihre Karriere begann 2006 als Justizvollzugsbeamtin beim Florida Department of Corrections. 2009 wechselte sie zum Miami-Dade County Corrections and Rehabilitation Department, wo sie 2016 zum Correctional Corporal aufstieg. W\u00e4hrend dieser Zeit spezialisierte sie sich auf die Betreuung m\u00e4nnlicher und weiblicher H\u00e4ftlinge, Jugendlicher, Aufnahme und Entlassung, psychischer Gesundheit und der Sondereinheit. Sie verf\u00fcgt au\u00dferdem \u00fcber eine Zertifizierung in Krisenintervention und eine umfassende Ausbildung im Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA), was ihre Expertise in der Rehabilitation und Sicherheit von H\u00e4ftlingen weiter ausbaute.<\/p>\n<p>Officer Bannister verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber einen Bachelor-Abschluss in Strafrechtsmanagement und beweist damit ihr Engagement f\u00fcr berufliche Weiterentwicklung und F\u00fchrungsqualit\u00e4ten in der Strafverfolgung. Im Jahr 2022 trat sie dem Miami Beach Police Department als Polizistin bei, wo sie schnell eine Leidenschaft f\u00fcr soziales Engagement entwickelte. Sie engagierte sich ehrenamtlich f\u00fcr Programme wie Kindergarten Cop und Operation Santa und trug so zu positiven Beziehungen zwischen Strafverfolgungsbeh\u00f6rden und der Gemeinde bei. Sie studierte Modedesign in Kolumbien, bis sie 1986 gro\u00dfe Tr\u00e4ume in dieses wunderbare Land f\u00fchrten. Frau Ospina lebte in New York City, arbeitete als Schneiderin, fuhr Fahrrad und begann ein neues Leben an einem Ort, an dem sie sich willkommen und frei f\u00fchlte. Die Winter waren hart und sie vermisste den Zugang zum Wasser, sodass Frau Ospina schlie\u00dflich 1994 beschloss, nach Miami, Florida, zu ziehen. Sie nahm einige Gelegenheitsjobs in ganz S\u00fcdflorida an, bis sie ihre eigene Maklerfirma gr\u00fcndete. Da sich Frau Ospina schon immer f\u00fcr kommunale Angelegenheiten, die Unterst\u00fctzung von Menschen und das Engagement f\u00fcr die Gemeinde interessiert hatte, nahm sie 2016 das Angebot an, f\u00fcr B\u00fcrgermeister Philip Levine zu arbeiten, und setzte ihre Arbeit f\u00fcr die Stadt Miami Beach unter B\u00fcrgermeister Dan Gelber fort. Im Jahr 2023 wechselte Frau Ospina in die Abteilung f\u00fcr Support Services des Miami Beach Police Department, wo sie derzeit bei der B\u00fcroleitung und Verwaltungsangelegenheiten hilft. Kipp Nelson ist derzeit Pastor der St. John&#039;s on the Lake United Methodist Church in Miami Beach, Florida. Er stammt urspr\u00fcnglich aus Birmingham, Alabama, und ist nach Miami gezogen. Kipp hat einen Bachelor of Accounting von der Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama, und einen Master of Divinity vom Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC.<\/p>\n<p>Im Juli 2021 wurde Kipp als erster offen schwuler Mann zum Pastor einer Ortsgemeinde der Florida Conference der United Methodist Church ernannt. Zwei Jahre sp\u00e4ter, im Juni 2023, wurden er und zwei weitere Personen als erste offen queere Personen als vorl\u00e4ufige Geistliche in die Florida Conference der United Methodist Church berufen. Seit seinem Amtsantritt widmet sich Kipp der Wiederbelebung der Kirche durch gezielte Seelsorge und \u00d6ffentlichkeitsarbeit innerhalb der LGBTQ+-Community.
