Sp\u00e4ter diente er als stellvertretender Stadtdirektor und schlie\u00dflich als Interims-Stadtdirektor. Im Jahr 2001 \u00fcbernahm er die Position des Executive Commander beim North Miami Beach Police Department und war dort f\u00fcr die Abteilung f\u00fcr Einziehung, die Verwaltung von Zusch\u00fcssen und die Task Force zur Geldw\u00e4sche zust\u00e4ndig, bevor er vom Miami Beach Police Department eingestellt wurde.<\/p>\n<p>Als Leiter der Support Services Division der Polizei von Miami Beach war er f\u00fcr die Property and Evidence Unit (PEU), die Training Unit, die Personnel Selection and Background Investigations Unit und die Business Resource Unit verantwortlich, die aus den dienstfreien Polizeidiensten und der Lohnbuchhaltung bestand. Zuvor leitete Commander Cardeno die Technical Services Division, die aus der Public Safety Communications Unit (PSCU), dem Notrufzentrum, der Records Management Unit, den Professional Standards, Information Resources und dem Grants Management bestand.<\/p>\n<p>Als Leiter der Abteilung f\u00fcr Code-Compliance \u00fcberwacht er die Durchsetzung der st\u00e4dtischen Gesetze und Verordnungen und gew\u00e4hrleistet so die Gesundheit, Sicherheit, das Wohlergehen und die Lebensqualit\u00e4t der Einwohner, Unternehmen, Eigent\u00fcmer und Touristen der Stadt Miami Beach.<\/p>\n<p>Herr Cardeno ist Absolvent des F\u00fchrungsoffizier-Entwicklungskurses des Southern Police Institute der University of Louisville und des Federal Executive Development Course des FBI. Er besitzt einen Bachelor-Abschluss der Barry University mit Schwerpunkt Personalmanagement und Nebenfach Beratung sowie einen Juris Doctor-Abschluss des Shepard Broad Law Center der Nova Southeastern University.
