Miami Beach, FL \u2013 <\/strong>Neue Freundschaften schlie\u00dfen, ab und zu einen Sturz hinlegen und sogar Nudelarme sind diese Woche Teil des Spa\u00dfes, denn die Abteilung f\u00fcr Parks und Erholung der Stadt Miami Beach arbeitet mit der University of Miami und dem Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD) der Nova Southeastern University beim 17. j\u00e4hrlichen Surfcamp f\u00fcr Kinder mit Autismus-Spektrum-St\u00f6rungen (ASD) zusammen, das jetzt bis zum 28. M\u00e4rz l\u00e4uft.<\/p>\r\n

\u201eDie Kinder sind die wahren Stars dieses beliebten j\u00e4hrlichen Events\u201c, sagte Eric T. Carpenter, Stadtverwalter von Miami Beach<\/strong>\u201eSie zaubern jedem, der Zeit mit ihnen verbringt, ein L\u00e4cheln ins Gesicht. Unsere Rettungsschwimmer freuen sich jedes Jahr auf dieses Ereignis und sorgen daf\u00fcr, dass die Kinder sicher sind.\u201c<\/p>\r\n

Die Kinder konzentrieren sich auf die Verbesserung ihrer Schwimmf\u00e4higkeiten, grundlegende Meereskunde, Meteorologie, Freiwassersurfen und die Entwicklung ihrer eigenen F\u00e4higkeiten. Der p\u00e4dagogische Teil des Camps findet im South Pointe Park statt, w\u00e4hrend der Surfteil am angrenzenden Strand stattfindet.<\/p>\r\n

Die Veranstaltung findet seit 2008 jedes Jahr statt, mit Ausnahme von zwei Jahren w\u00e4hrend der Pandemie.<\/p>\r\n

\u201eWir f\u00fchlen uns geehrt, gemeinsam mit unseren hervorragenden Partnern vom Miami Beach Parks and Recreation Department das 17. j\u00e4hrliche Autism Surf Camp auszurichten\u201c, sagte Dr. Michael Alessandri, Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer von CARD. \u201eDiese einzigartige Zusammenarbeit wirkt sich jedes Jahr positiv auf das Leben unserer Campteilnehmer, ihrer Familien, unserer Betreuer und Freiwilligen aus. Das Engagement von Miami Beach f\u00fcr die F\u00f6rderung von Menschen mit besonderen F\u00e4higkeiten ist ungebrochen, und wir freuen uns, diese Partnerschaft in dieser und anderer Hinsicht weiter auszubauen.\u201c<\/p>\r\n

Am Freitag, den 28. M\u00e4rz, pr\u00e4sentieren die Kinder ihren Eltern und Familienangeh\u00f6rigen eine Surfvorf\u00fchrung. Die Veranstaltung findet von 10 bis 11:30 Uhr statt und beinhaltet eine Preisverleihung. Medien sind herzlich eingeladen.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Laut dem National Institute of Mental Health ist ASD eine neurologische Entwicklungsst\u00f6rung, die die Interaktion, Kommunikation, das Lernen und das Verhalten von Menschen beeinflusst. Obwohl Autismus in jedem Alter diagnostiziert werden kann, treten Symptome in der Regel in den ersten beiden Lebensjahren auf.<\/p>\r\n
