\u2013 Anerkennung als eine von 150 zertifizierten Rettungsschwimmerorganisationen f\u00fcr offene Gew\u00e4sser im Land \u2013<\/h3>\r\n

Miami Beach, FL \u2013 <\/strong>Die Ocean Rescue Division (MBOR) der Feuerwehr von Miami Beach hat von der United States Lifesaving Association (USLA) eine nationale Auszeichnung f\u00fcr herausragende Leistungen in der Lebensrettung erhalten. Der nationale gemeinn\u00fctzige Verband von Strandrettungsschwimmern und Freiwasserrettungsorganisationen verlieh der Stadt den National Award for Professional Achievement. Dieser wird an Organisationen verliehen, die durch den Einsatz von Ausr\u00fcstung, Zertifizierungen, Standards, Vorschriften oder anderen relevanten Bereichen, die F\u00fchrungsst\u00e4rke, Innovation und Engagement f\u00fcr die \u00f6ffentliche Sicherheit hervorheben, den Rettungsberuf vorangebracht haben.<\/p>\r\n

\u201eIch k\u00f6nnte nicht stolzer auf unsere Ocean Rescue Division sein\u201c, sagte Miami Beach<\/strong> Feuerwehrchefin Digna Abello.<\/strong> \u201eDie Abteilung arbeitet nicht nur hart daran, Leben zu retten, sondern setzt auch einen hohen Standard f\u00fcr andere Meeresrettungsorganisationen im ganzen Land.\u201c<\/p>\r\n

Zu den wichtigsten Innovationen, die zur Anerkennung beitrugen, z\u00e4hlen die Entwicklung einer App f\u00fcr mobile Notfallmedizin und lebenserhaltende Ma\u00dfnahmen, die Erstellung einer Website mit Informationen zu den Strandbedingungen und Live-Strandkameras sowie die regelm\u00e4\u00dfige Aktualisierung der Schulungen und Standardverfahren der Abteilung. Miami Beach ist derzeit die einzige Meeresrettungsbeh\u00f6rde des Landes mit einer eigenen mobilen App f\u00fcr Rettungsschwimmerprotokolle.<\/p>\r\n

\u201eDiese nationale Anerkennung ist ein Beweis f\u00fcr das unglaubliche Engagement und die Professionalit\u00e4t, die unsere Rettungsschwimmer jeden Tag an den Strand bringen\u201c, f\u00fcgte hinzu Leiter der Meeresrettung, Jason Casanova<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n

Die USLA setzt sich daf\u00fcr ein, Ertrinkungs- und Wasserunf\u00e4lle in den USA durch Aufkl\u00e4rung der \u00d6ffentlichkeit, die Entwicklung nationaler Ausbildungsstandards und die F\u00f6rderung bew\u00e4hrter Verfahren zu reduzieren. Die USLA zertifiziert Rettungsschwimmeragenturen, die den nationalen Standards entsprechen. Miami Beach ist eine von nur 37 zertifizierten Agenturen in Florida.<\/p>\r\n

Im vergangenen Jahr f\u00fchrte MBOR 577 Rettungseins\u00e4tze auf See durch und rettete dabei \u00fcber 800 Menschenleben. Dar\u00fcber hinaus reagierte das Team auf \u00fcber 96.000 kleinere und 600 gr\u00f6\u00dfere medizinische Notrufe.<\/p>\r\n

Die Abteilung f\u00fchrte au\u00dferdem \u00fcber 759.000 Pr\u00e4ventionsma\u00dfnahmen und 510.000 Strandkontrollen durch. Ocean Rescue verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber 97 hauptamtliche und 30 nebenberufliche Rettungsschwimmer. Mehr als 901 TP3T aller Rettungsschwimmer der Stadt sind als Rettungssanit\u00e4ter zertifiziert \u2013 dies gew\u00e4hrleistet jederzeit ein hohes Ma\u00df an medizinischer Bereitschaft und Professionalit\u00e4t.<\/p>\r\n
