Juni 2025\t<\/h2>\n<h3>\n\t\t\tMichele Oka Doner f\u00fcr den gr\u00f6\u00dften \u00f6ffentlichen Kunstauftrag der Stadt seit 2022 ausgew\u00e4hlt \t<\/h3>\n\t<p><strong>Miami Beach, FL \u2013 <\/strong>Heute gab die Stadt Miami Beach bekannt, dass <strong>Michele Oka D\u00f6ner<\/strong> wurde ausgew\u00e4hlt von der <strong>Ausschuss f\u00fcr Kunst im \u00f6ffentlichen Raum<\/strong> (AIPP) mit der Gestaltung eines ortsspezifischen, integrierten Kunstwerks f\u00fcr den Bayshore Park beauftragt, das teilweise durch die von den W\u00e4hlern genehmigte General Obligation Bond von 2018 finanziert wurde. Doners vorgeschlagenes Kunstwerk, <strong><em>Vogelhaus<\/em><\/strong>sch\u00f6pft aus ihrer tiefen, pers\u00f6nlichen Verbindung zu Miami Beach und hofft, zuk\u00fcnftigen Generationen die T\u00fcren f\u00fcr Erkundung, Vergn\u00fcgen und Spiel zu \u00f6ffnen.<\/p>\n<p>Doners Vorschlag wurde nach einem sorgf\u00e4ltigen kuratorischen Ansatz und einem strengen Auswahlverfahren ausgew\u00e4hlt, das mit 67 Bewerbern begann und auf drei herausragende Halbfinalisten reduziert wurde, die aufgrund ihres Verst\u00e4ndnisses dessen, was Miami Beach einzigartig macht, ausgew\u00e4hlt wurden. Bekannte Halbfinalisten sind <strong>Richard Hudson<\/strong> Und <strong>R &amp; R Studios<\/strong> (<strong>Roberto Behar &amp; Rosario Marquardt<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p>Das Bayshore Park-Projekt wurde durch eine kommunale Investition von $300.000 finanziert und ist der gr\u00f6\u00dfte \u00f6ffentliche Kunstauftrag der Stadt seit der Installation von FriendsWithYou&#039;s <em>Sternenkind <\/em>2022 wird der Bayshore Park am Henry Liebman Square er\u00f6ffnet. Der ehemalige Golfplatz wurde in einen \u00f6ffentlichen Park f\u00fcr alle Einwohner der Stadt umgewandelt und bietet einen zentralen See mit Promenaden, einen Pavillon, sechs Pickleball- und Tennispl\u00e4tze, einen Spielplatz, einen Hundepark, Joggingstrecken und -wege, ein Fitnesscenter und einen Schmetterlingsgarten. Im vergangenen Juli bat die Stadt Miami Beach professionelle K\u00fcnstler um Vorschl\u00e4ge f\u00fcr ein ortsspezifisches Kunstwerk, das den Besuchern ein beeindruckendes k\u00fcnstlerisches Erlebnis bietet und gleichzeitig dem Park und der Umgebung eine einzigartige visuelle Identit\u00e4t verleiht.<\/p>\n<p>Michele Oka D\u00f6ner&#039;s <strong><em>Vogelhaus<\/em><\/strong> ist inspiriert von der Kindheit des K\u00fcnstlers und den nat\u00fcrlichen Elementen, die den Park und die Stadt pr\u00e4gen. Doner, der in Miami Beach geboren wurde, wuchs gegen\u00fcber dem Park auf und staunte schon immer \u00fcber die Wildtiere, die sich im Laubwerk niederlie\u00dfen. <em>Vogelhaus <\/em>erinnert an ein verlassenes Vogelh\u00e4uschen, das die K\u00fcnstlerin in einer Kokospalme entdeckte. Ihre geplante Skulptur, die 6 Meter hoch und 1,8 Meter im Durchmesser sein wird, verk\u00f6rpert die Magie der Natur. Ihr k\u00fcnstlerisches Schaffen umfasst Skulpturen, Zeichnungen, \u00f6ffentliche Kunst, funktionale Objekte, Videos, K\u00fcnstlerb\u00fccher sowie Kost\u00fcm- und B\u00fchnenbild. Sie hat weltweit zahlreiche permanente Kunstinstallationen geschaffen, darunter <em>Strahlende Site<\/em> an der MTA-Station Herald Square in New York, <em>Ein Spaziergang am Strand<\/em> am Miami International Airport und <em>Lichtgeschwindigkeit<\/em>, der Eingang zum neuen Astronomiemuseum in Shanghai. Ihre Werke befinden sich in den Sammlungen des Metropolitan Museum of Art und Whitney Museum of Art, New York, des Art Institute of Chicago, des Detroit Institute of Arts, des Louvre, des Victoria and Albert Museum of Art, London, sowie der Kunstmuseen der Universit\u00e4ten Michigan, Oxford, Yale und Harvard. Derzeit arbeitet sie an <em>Talisman<\/em>, in Zusammenarbeit mit der Stadt New York, an einer Installation f\u00fcr die Park Avenue, Er\u00f6ffnung im M\u00e4rz 2026.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00dcber das Programm \u201eKunst an \u00f6ffentlichen Orten\u201c der Stadt Miami Beach<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Das Komitee f\u00fcr Kunst im \u00f6ffentlichen Raum ist ein siebenk\u00f6pfiges st\u00e4dtisches Gremium, das f\u00fcr die Beauftragung und den Ankauf von Kunstwerken zeitgen\u00f6ssischer K\u00fcnstler aller Medien zust\u00e4ndig ist. Das Programm stellt Mittel in H\u00f6he von insgesamt 21 TP3B an Fixkosten f\u00fcr st\u00e4dtische Projekte und gemeinsame privat-\u00f6ffentliche Projekte bereit.
