Das renommierte Preisprogramm w\u00fcrdigt und f\u00f6rdert ein effektiveres K\u00fcstenrisikomanagement, das die nat\u00fcrliche Infrastruktur wiederherstellt, um der zunehmenden Erosion, \u00dcberschwemmungen und damit verbundenen Gefahren durch zunehmende Sturmintensit\u00e4t und den Anstieg des Meeresspiegels entgegenzuwirken.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eMiami Beach verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber einige der einzigartigsten Parks der Welt, und der Brittany Bay Park ist ein leuchtendes Beispiel daf\u00fcr, wie wir unsere K\u00fcste sch\u00fctzen und gleichzeitig unsere Gemeinde bereichern k\u00f6nnen\u201c, sagte <strong>Steven Meiner, B\u00fcrgermeister von Miami Beach<\/strong>\u201eDank unserer hervorragenden Mitarbeiter im B\u00fcro f\u00fcr Kapitalverbesserungsprojekte, in den Abteilungen Umwelt und Nachhaltigkeit sowie Park und Erholung setzen wir einen neuen Standard in Sachen Widerstandsf\u00e4higkeit und Innovation \u2013 einen, der den Einwohnern von Miami Beach zugutekommt und in ganz S\u00fcdflorida als Vorbild dienen wird.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>Das Projekt Brittany Bay Park am Indian Creek Drive 6430 umfasste eine multifunktionale Umgestaltung, die technische Innovation, \u00f6kologische Sanierung und \u00f6ffentliche Bereicherung in einem der \u00f6kologisch empfindlichsten Gebiete Floridas vereinte. Mit dem Verzicht auf einen traditionellen Ufermauerersatz zugunsten einer hybriden, lebendigen Uferlinie setzte die Stadt einen neuen Pr\u00e4zedenzfall f\u00fcr nachhaltige Widerstandsf\u00e4higkeit und gemeinschaftsorientiertes Design.<\/p>\n<p>Das Projekt bewahrte und erweiterte den Lebensraum, indem 18 ausgewachsene Mangroven gesch\u00fctzt und \u00fcber 680 neue Mangroven gepflanzt wurden.
