Miami Beach, Florida<\/strong> \u2013 In Absprache mit dem \u00c4rztlichen Direktor Dr. Federick Keroff hat die Feuerwehr von Miami Beach einen bahnbrechenden Schritt in der Notfallmedizin unternommen, indem sie als erste Notfallorganisation im Bezirk Miami-Dade alle Einsatzkr\u00e4fte mit einer pr\u00e4klinischen Antibiotikatherapie f\u00fcr Patienten mit Verdacht auf Sepsis ausstattete.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn Miami Beach ist die \u00f6ffentliche Sicherheit nicht verhandelbar \u2013 sie hat f\u00fcr uns oberste Priorit\u00e4t\u201d, sagte er. Sepsis ist eine potenziell lebensbedrohliche Erkrankung, bei der die k\u00f6rpereigenen Abwehrmechanismen gegen Infektionen zu Funktionsst\u00f6rungen der Organe f\u00fchren. Die Sterblichkeitsrate ist bei dieser Erkrankung h\u00f6her als bei Herzinfarkt, Schlaganfall und Trauma. Studien best\u00e4tigen, dass jede Stunde Verz\u00f6gerung bei der Antibiotikagabe die Krankenhaussterblichkeit um 4,8 Prozent erh\u00f6ht, insbesondere bei Patienten mit septischem Schock. Durch die Einleitung der Behandlung vor der Ankunft im Krankenhaus k\u00f6nnen Sanit\u00e4ter in Miami Beach die Behandlungszeit deutlich verk\u00fcrzen und so die \u00dcberlebensraten und die Patientenergebnisse verbessern.<\/p>\n

\n\u2022 Eine Studie des Rettungsdienstes in Florida zeigte, dass die Sterblichkeitsrate bei Patienten mit septischem Schock durch die pr\u00e4klinische Gabe von Antibiotika von 15,81 TP3T auf 6,81 TP3T sank.
\n\u2022 Eine weitere Studie ergab, dass die Sterblichkeit im Krankenhaus bei Patienten, die vor ihrer Ankunft Antibiotika erhalten hatten, um fast 70% sank.\n
