Miami Beach, Florida<\/strong> Die Stadt Miami Beach arbeitet mit der Sabrina Cohen Foundation zusammen, um einen neuen, barrierefreien Pflasterweg zu bauen, der voraussichtlich Anfang 2027 er\u00f6ffnet wird. Der \u201cWeg der Inklusion\u201d wird es Menschen mit Behinderungen, Veteranen, Kindern mit besonderen Bed\u00fcrfnissen und Senioren erm\u00f6glichen, einen Tag am Strand im Beach View Park, 5301 Collins Ave., besser zu erleben.<\/p>\n

\u201cSabrina Cohen ist eine Pionierin, die den Alltag von Menschen mit Behinderungen ver\u00e4ndert, und dieser Weg wird jedem die M\u00f6glichkeit geben, die Freude und Freiheit unseres Ozeans zu erleben\u201d, sagte sie. Steven Meiner, B\u00fcrgermeister von Miami Beach<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Seit 2016 veranstaltet die Sabrina Cohen Foundation monatlich spontane, adaptive Strandtage, um Menschen mit verschiedenen Behinderungen mithilfe von geschultem Personal, Freiwilligen, Zugangsdecks, Strandrollst\u00fchlen und anderer adaptiver Ausr\u00fcstung einen umfassenden Zugang zum Meer zu erm\u00f6glichen.<\/p>\n

\u201cDieses Programm geht weit dar\u00fcber hinaus, Menschen ins Meer zu bringen\u201d, erkl\u00e4rte er. Sabrina Cohen<\/strong>, die im Rollstuhl sitzt und die Sabrina Cohen Foundation gegr\u00fcndet hat. \u201cEs geht darum, Menschen zusammenzubringen, damit sie sich gest\u00e4rkt f\u00fchlen. Mit dem Bau eines permanenten, barrierefreien Raums freuen wir uns darauf, Menschen jeden Alters und mit unterschiedlichen F\u00e4higkeiten an unserem wundersch\u00f6nen Strand willkommen zu hei\u00dfen \u2013 nicht nur einmal im Monat, sondern jeden Tag.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alle im Rahmen der Ziegelsteinkampagne \u201cWeg der Inklusion\u201d gesammelten Gelder werden f\u00fcr den Ausbau des adaptiven Parks verwendet, einschlie\u00dflich des geplanten, landesweit ersten adaptiven Freizeitzentrums, das sich derzeit in der Planungsphase befindet.<\/p>\n

Das 1,25 Hektar gro\u00dfe, barrierefreie Park- und Strandgel\u00e4nde bietet neben dem Gedenksteinprogramm auch die M\u00f6glichkeit zur Namensgebung. Zwei Ziegelsteingr\u00f6\u00dfen k\u00f6nnen mit dem Namen des Spenders, seinem Familiennamen oder dem Namen einer Person, die er in seinem beruflichen oder privaten Leben ehren m\u00f6chte, personalisiert werden. Ein 10 x 20 cm gro\u00dfer Ziegelstein kostet $500. Ein 20 x 20 cm gro\u00dfer Ziegelstein kostet $1.000 oder $1.055 mit Logo.<\/p>\n

\u201cF\u00fcr Menschen mit Behinderungen sind Freizeitaktivit\u00e4ten und Sport unerl\u00e4sslich f\u00fcr ihre Gesundheit und ihr Wohlbefinden, aber oft schwer zug\u00e4nglich\u201d, f\u00fcgte Cohen hinzu. \u201cSchritt f\u00fcr Schritt, mit der Unterst\u00fctzung der Gemeinschaft, k\u00f6nnen wir den Traum von einem inklusiveren Miami Beach verwirklichen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adaptive Strandtage finden von April bis November am dritten Sonntag im Monat von 11 bis 15 Uhr statt. 6475 Collins Avenue<\/strong>. Die n\u00e4chste Veranstaltung findet diesen Sonntag, den 19. Oktober, statt. <\/strong><\/p>\n
