M\u00e4rz<\/strong> bei <strong>10 Uhr<\/strong> f\u00fcr eine Pressekonferenz, um die Ablehnung der Stadt gegen den Senatsentwurf 208 und den Gesetzesentwurf 399 (2026) des Repr\u00e4sentantenhauses von Florida darzulegen <strong>Strandpromenade hinter dem Fontainebleau<\/strong>Parkpl\u00e4tze stehen auf dem st\u00e4dtischen Parkplatz in der Collins Avenue 4621 zur Verf\u00fcgung. Dadurch w\u00fcrde der Weg f\u00fcr einen riesigen, 36 Meter hohen Wasserpark direkt neben den Wohngebieten unserer Anwohner freigemacht\u201d, sagte er. <strong>Alex Fernandez, Stadtrat von Miami Beach<\/strong>, der die Pressekonferenz einberufen hatte.<\/p>\n<p>Das Gesetz, das bereits am Mittwoch, dem 11. M\u00e4rz, im Senat von Florida verabschiedet werden k\u00f6nnte, w\u00fcrde der Stadt die Befugnis entziehen, \u00fcber einen geplanten Wasserpark des Hotels Fontainebleau Miami Beach und \u00e4hnliche Pl\u00e4ne gro\u00dfer Resorts im ganzen Bundesstaat zu entscheiden, ohne dabei ernsthafte Bedenken hinsichtlich Verkehr, Infrastruktur und anderer Aspekte der Lebensqualit\u00e4t der Anwohner zu ber\u00fccksichtigen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWir h\u00f6ren die Bedenken unserer Anwohner bez\u00fcglich des geplanten Wasserparks im Fontainebleau Hotel deutlich. Die Kommunen sind am n\u00e4chsten an den B\u00fcrgern und k\u00f6nnen die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung am besten mit den Bed\u00fcrfnissen der Anwohner, den Verkehrsverh\u00e4ltnissen, der Infrastrukturkapazit\u00e4t und dem Schutz unserer historischen Wahrzeichen in Einklang bringen\u201d, sagte er. <strong>Steven Meiner, B\u00fcrgermeister von Miami Beach<\/strong>. \u201cMiami Beach respektiert die Rolle des Staates, jedoch sollten Entscheidungen, die unsere Gemeinde direkt betreffen, weiterhin eine sinnvolle lokale \u00dcberpr\u00fcfung und die Einbeziehung der \u00d6ffentlichkeit beinhalten.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In ihrer Sitzung am 25. Februar verabschiedete die Stadtkommission von Miami Beach einstimmig eine Resolution, die sich gegen die bundesstaatliche Gesetzgebung ausspricht. Begr\u00fcndet wurde dies damit, dass diese \u201cdie lokalen Beh\u00f6rden zwingen w\u00fcrde, bestimmte von gro\u00dfen Ferienanlagen eingereichte Bauantr\u00e4ge administrativ zu genehmigen, wodurch die geltenden Bestimmungen der st\u00e4dtischen Bauordnung sowie die unabh\u00e4ngige Befugnis des Denkmalschutzamtes und anderer Gremien zur Pr\u00fcfung und Genehmigung solcher Antr\u00e4ge au\u00dfer Kraft gesetzt und bestehende M\u00f6glichkeiten zur \u00f6ffentlichen Beteiligung ausgeschlossen w\u00fcrden; und die \u00dcbermittlung vorsieht.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTallahassee scheint in jeder Legislaturperiode zu versuchen, zum Bauplanungsamt von Miami Beach zu werden\u201d, f\u00fcgte er hinzu. <strong>Fernandez<\/strong>. \u201cEs handelt sich um ein beunruhigendes Muster, das von Sonderinteressen angeheizt wird \u2013 wenn sie sich vor Ort nicht durchsetzen k\u00f6nnen, rennen sie nach Tallahassee, um die lokale Kontrolle mit weitreichenden, schlechten Gesetzesentw\u00fcrfen wie SB 208 und HB 399 zu untergraben, die alles bedrohen, von unseren wertvollsten nat\u00fcrlichen Ressourcen wie den Everglades bis hin zu historischen Sch\u00e4tzen wie dem Fontainebleau.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zahlreiche Einwohner von Miami Beach nahmen am 10. Februar an der Sitzung des Denkmalschutzbeirats teil, um gegen die Pl\u00e4ne des Fontainebleau Miami Beach zu protestieren, bis zu elf Wasserrutschen, darunter eine 36,5 Meter hohe, zu errichten. Der Fall wurde dem Beirat vorgelegt, da das Fontainebleau als eigenst\u00e4ndiges historisches Denkmal innerhalb eines lokalen historischen Viertels ausgewiesen ist.
