April <\/strong>bei <strong>10 Uhr <\/strong>An<strong> Ecke 12th Street und Washington Avenue.<\/strong> Wilzig war vor allem als Gr\u00fcnderin des World Erotic Art Museum in South Beach bekannt. Ein Abschnitt der 12th Street zwischen Ocean Drive und Washington Avenue wird in Naomi Wilzig Way umbenannt.<\/p>\n<p>Die Benennung der Stra\u00dfe wurde von der Miami Beach Commission for Women empfohlen und anschlie\u00dfend von der Miami Beach City Commission genehmigt.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNaomi Wilzig war eine kulturelle Gr\u00f6\u00dfe in der Stadt\u201d, sagte sie. <strong>Miami Beach-Beauftragte Laura Dominguez<\/strong>, die die Stra\u00dfenbenennung initiiert hatte. \u201cSie wagte es, anders zu sein, und ihre Sammlung spiegelt nicht nur ihre Individualit\u00e4t wider, sondern auch ihre Beharrlichkeit, einen Platz f\u00fcr ihre einzigartige Sammlung zu finden.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Das World Erotic Art Museum befindet sich in der 1205 Washington Ave. und ist vermutlich das einzige Museum in den Vereinigten Staaten, das sich ausschlie\u00dflich der erotischen Kunst widmet. Es beherbergt mehr als 4.000 internationale St\u00fccke aus der Zeit von 300 v. Chr. bis heute.<\/p>\n<p>Wilzig, die am 7. April 2015 verstarb, hatte das Museum zehn Jahre zuvor gegr\u00fcndet. Sie war Sammlerin, Autorin und Dozentin.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIch hatte bereits von vielen anderen Orten Absagen erhalten\u201d, sagte sie kurz vor ihrem Tod einem deutschen Videografen. \u201cLeider verbindet die amerikanische \u00d6ffentlichkeit erotische Kunst mit Pornografie. Sie hatten Angst, ich w\u00fcrde etwas Unangenehmes und Geschmackloses in ihre Viertel bringen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wilzig, die aus einer orthodox-j\u00fcdischen Familie stammt, sagte, sie habe auf Wunsch ihres Sohnes mit dem Sammeln erotischer Objekte begonnen, da dieser St\u00fccke f\u00fcr seine private Sammlung suchte. Er wandte sich an seine Mutter, weil sie eine begeisterte Antiquit\u00e4tensammlerin war.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMir gefiel die Kunst, weil sie das Leben zeigte.
