Miami Beach, Florida<\/strong> Die Stadt Miami Beach hat eine bedeutende \u00c4nderung ihrer Parkraum\u00fcberwachungsregeln beschlossen, die die Zahl der abgeschleppten Fahrzeuge von Anwohnern voraussichtlich um mehr als die H\u00e4lfte reduzieren wird. Die Ma\u00dfnahme erspart den Einwohnern von Miami Beach die finanzielle Belastung und die Unannehmlichkeiten, die mit dem Abschleppen verbunden sind.<\/p>\n

Die Ma\u00dfnahme wurde von der Stadtkommission von Miami Beach einstimmig angenommen.<\/p>\n

Anwohner k\u00f6nnen zwar weiterhin bei Parkverst\u00f6\u00dfen wie dem \u00dcberfahren gelber Bordsteinkanten, dem Parkverbot oder der Zufahrt nur f\u00fcr berechtigte Fahrzeuge mit Bu\u00dfgeldern belegt werden, doch das Programm \u201eEnd Resident Tows\u201c sieht das Abschleppen von Fahrzeugen nur noch als letzte Ma\u00dfnahme bei der Durchsetzung von Parkregeln f\u00fcr Anwohner vor, die sich beim Parkamt von Miami Beach registriert haben. Diese Anwohner erhalten nun pro Kalenderquartal bis zu drei Bu\u00dfgeldbescheide und eine Benachrichtigung per SMS f\u00fcr die meisten Parkverst\u00f6\u00dfe, bevor ihr Fahrzeug beim vierten Versto\u00df abgeschleppt wird. Anwohner, die ihr falsch geparktes Fahrzeug nicht innerhalb von 24 Stunden nach Erhalt eines Bu\u00dfgeldbescheids entfernen, m\u00fcssen nach Erhalt einer SMS-Warnung ebenfalls mit dem Abschleppen rechnen.<\/p>\n

\u201cWir werden unsere Einwohner vor unn\u00f6tigem Abschleppen sch\u00fctzen\u201d, sagte er. Steven Meiner, B\u00fcrgermeister von Miami Beach<\/strong>. \u201cDiese \u00c4nderungen bringen den Anwohnern Entlastung, verbessern ihre Lebensqualit\u00e4t und sorgen f\u00fcr mehr Verantwortlichkeit und Kontinuit\u00e4t, w\u00e4hrend gleichzeitig die \u00f6ffentliche Sicherheit und Zug\u00e4nglichkeit gewahrt bleiben.\u201d<\/p>\n

Die Befugnis zum sofortigen Abschleppen bleibt bei schwerwiegenden Gefahren f\u00fcr die \u00f6ffentliche Sicherheit, wie etwa Verst\u00f6\u00dfen gegen Vorschriften bez\u00fcglich Hydranten, Behindertenparkpl\u00e4tzen, blockierten Gehwegen, Zufahrten, Radwegen, Rettungszufahrten und Ladezonen, weiterhin bestehen. Im Zuge der Reform erhalten Anwohner bei solchen Sicherheitsverst\u00f6\u00dfen, die ein sofortiges Abschleppen nach sich ziehen, nun zus\u00e4tzlich eine SMS-Benachrichtigung, um die M\u00f6glichkeit zur Behebung des Versto\u00dfes zu gew\u00e4hrleisten.<\/p>\n

In Miami Beach wurden in diesem Jahr bereits \u00fcber 1.181 Fahrzeuge von Anwohnern abgeschleppt. Im Rahmen der Reformen h\u00e4tten \u00fcber 621 dieser Abschleppungen wahrscheinlich vermieden werden k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n

Das neue Programm baut auf dem Erfolg des st\u00e4dtischen Programms \u201eAbschleppen per SMS\u201c auf, das letztes Jahr eingef\u00fchrt wurde, um registrierten Einwohnern 15 Minuten vor dem Abschleppen ihres Fahrzeugs eine SMS-Warnung zukommen zu lassen. Mehr als 851.000 Fahrzeuge, die eine solche Benachrichtigung erhielten, konnten durch Behebung des Problems dem Abschleppen entgehen.<\/p>\n

Im Rahmen dieses Programms werden Anwohner, die sich bereits beim Parkamt f\u00fcr Anwohnerparkausweise oder Anwohnerparkrabatte registriert haben, automatisch f\u00fcr SMS-Warnungen angemeldet. Die Anwohner sind selbst daf\u00fcr verantwortlich, ihre Mobilfunknummern und Fahrzeugdaten bei der Stadt zu aktualisieren.<\/p>\n
