Tras su donaci\u00f3n al Estado de Florida en 1997, la misi\u00f3n y el alcance operativo del museo se expandieron para incorporar a un nutrido alumnado y profesorado de la Universidad Internacional de Florida en investigaci\u00f3n y actividades. Posteriormente, se implementaron iniciativas educativas desde preescolar hasta bachillerato.  <\/p>\n<p>El Wolfsonian-FIU es ahora un museo, biblioteca y centro de investigaci\u00f3n de renombre mundial que ilustra el poder persuasivo del arte y el dise\u00f1o. Con m\u00e1s de 200.000 objetos, la colecci\u00f3n alberga un vasto universo de ideas. El Wolfsonian ofrece un entorno agradable para la apreciaci\u00f3n del arte y el dise\u00f1o, as\u00ed como un foro (virtual y presencial) que enriquece la vida c\u00edvica de Miami Beach. La oferta del museo se complementa con la colaboraci\u00f3n de organizaciones colaboradoras: la Liga de Preservaci\u00f3n del Dise\u00f1o de Miami; el programa STEAM+ de la Ciudad de Miami Beach; O Cinema Miami Beach; AIA; AIGA; la Biblioteca Bookleggers; la Sinf\u00f3nica del Nuevo Mundo; el Festival de Poes\u00eda de Miami; Design Miami; y Art Basel Miami Beach. <\/p>\n<p>El museo suele atraer entre 25.000 y 30.000 visitantes al a\u00f1o. Presenta tres exposiciones principales, varias instalaciones m\u00e1s peque\u00f1as y un proyecto de artistas contempor\u00e1neos, adem\u00e1s de m\u00e1s de 100 programas p\u00fablicos, como visitas guiadas, charlas, programas familiares y pel\u00edculas.
