The reduced water depth has limited boat access for residents and has made portions of the canals difficult to navigate.<\/p>\n<p>This project will conduct maintenance dredging in shallow sections of the waterways to re-establish safe and reliable navigation. The goal is to achieve a minimum depth of <strong>-7 ft NAVD<\/strong>, improving safety and access for recreational vessels.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\tNew Updates\n\t\t\t\tPast Updates\n\t\t\t\tPublic Meetings\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tNew Updates\n\t\t\t\t<ul>\n<li>DERM permits and FDEP exemptions have been issued. Additional improvements include parking modifications, new traffic signal mast arms, pedestrian signals, sidewalk, curb, and gutter replacement, as well as driveway adjustments.<\/p>\n<p>The scope also features a raised intersection at 22 Street and Park Avenue, intersection bulb-outs, drainage enhancements, pavement milling and resurfacing, and updated signage and pavement markings throughout the project area.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\" tabindex=\"-1\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-1\">What are the project boundaries?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<button type=\"button\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-1\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-1\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/button>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>The project boundaries are as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>23 Street between Dade Boulevard and Park Avenue<\/li>\n<li>Park Avenue between 23 and 22 Streets<\/li>\n<li>22 Street from Park Avenue to the Beachwalk<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\" tabindex=\"-1\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-2\">What is the project schedule?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<button type=\"button\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-2\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-2\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/button>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Construction began on <strong>May 12, 2025<\/strong>. Work hours are Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The project will be completed in three (3) phases. These plans will ensure the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians throughout construction.
