Additionally, the city’s traffic monitoring and management contractor will monitor major thoroughfares to detect incidents creating congestion based on available resources and equipment, including existing closed-circuit television and portable cameras in the city, the WAZE mobile application, portable variable message signs for traffic\/event messaging, and implementing modifications to traffic signal timing as needed to manage congestion. Traffic Monitors will operate on an extended schedule as follows: Friday, May 22 from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, May 23 and May 24 from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.; and Monday, May 25 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.<\/p>\n
