An event every week that begins at 9:00 am on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, repeating until August 10 2024
June 10-14 – Zero Waste: The focus is on sustainability as campers create and construct their works of art using recycled materials and explore new ways to connect art and environmental consciousness.
June 17-21 – Lights, Camera, Action!: Get inspired by the cinematic arts! Campers will spend the week working on their own stop-motion animations and focusing on character development and creation.
June 24-28 – STEAM: Science, technology, engineering, art and math are the inspiration for this week of Summer Art Camp! Campers will explore the intersection of the arts with science and more.
July 1-5 (no camp on July 4) – Paint Party: Get hands-on with paint! Campers will spend the week using different paints including watercolors, acrylics and tempera as they learn best practices and techniques for working with paint.
July 8-12 – Textiles and Textures: Campers will explore the fiber arts and use fabric, yarns and more to create their textured masterpieces.
July 15-19 – Art and Nature: The great outdoors will inspire all aspects of this week’s Summer Art Camp. From subject matter to materials, the connection between art and nature will be celebrated and explored.
July 22-26 – Art Explorers: Art history, creation and exploration intersect this week! Campers will spend the week learning about and creating artwork inspired by different art movements and influential artists.
July 29-August 2 – Art and Movement: Get active AND creative! In the spirit of the Summer Olympics, campers will draw inspiration from the ways in which our bodies and art intersect.
August 5-9 – Project Runway: Design and construct your own wearable art during this week of Summer Art Camp! Using fabric, thread and more, campers will bring their fashion designs to life.
