Hued Songs presents The Juneteenth Experience, a multidisciplinary, immersive performance of our American Holiday, Juneteenth, at the Miami Beach Bandshell.
Celebrating Freedom, Belonging, Black culture, Black community, and Black Miami. The performance includes a diverse cast of local artists ranging from spoken word, song, dance, and animation.
UPDATE: Due to inclement weather in the forecast, the Picnic in the Park programming at Bandshell Park from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, June 19 has been canceled. The Juneteenth Experience at the Miami Beach Bandshell will still continue as scheduled. Doors open at 6 p.m. at 7275 Collins Avenue.
Pre-concert attendees can enjoy the Miami Beach Juneteenth Picnic in the Park, in Bandshell Park beginning at 4 p.m., produced by the City of Miami Beach, featuring The New World School of the Arts Jazz Ensemble & The Harden Project. This performance is made possible with support from The Knight Foundation, The National Endowment for the Arts, The Miami Foundation, The Our Fund Foundation, The African Heritage Cultural Arts Center, The Miami-Dade Department of Cultural Affairs, Miami Salon Group, The City of Miami Beach.
Cast: Arsimmer Mccoy, Jasmine Williams, Miriam King, J’Von Brown, Darius Manuel, Eden Marte, Chauncy Riley, King Friday. Featuring members from Zest Dance Collective under the direction of Artistic Director & Choregrapher Gentry George Creative Team: Kunya Rowley, Gentry George, Miriam King, Eric Nelson, and Izia Lindsay.
