This event is being hosted in partnership with our friends at City of Miami Beach Environment and Sustainability. \nWe will be working in teams of 4-5 as walking billboards using signs with positive messaging\, handing out bio-degradable garbage bags to those with a mess around them\, and a small cleanup crew patrolling the waterline to protect the ocean. We’ve done this in past Spring Breaks\, and it works well. The territory we will cover will be between 1st and 15th Street. \nYou don’t need to stay for the entire shift if you cannot\, and we might alter the meeting point and schedule as we find out more details about when the spring breakers typically show up. \nNOTE: City of Miami Beach is implementing parking restrictions around the Entertainment District (Ocean Drive) to minimize day trips from non-residents. We do NOT recommend driving to Miami Beach if you are not a resident and instead suggest Ride Share\, Public Transport or biking. \nWe will bring all the supplies\, and you wear comfortable clothes for taking a walk on the sand and bring a smile and positive attitude. \nMeet on the Sand at 10th Street (Lummus Park). \n\nClick here to RSVP URL:https://www.miamibeachfl.gov/event/spring-break-keep-the-beach-clean-engagement/ LOCATION:10 Street Beach\, 1001 Ocean Dr\, Miami Beach\, FL\, Florida\, 33139 CATEGORIES:Environment,Featured Events ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/jpeg:https://www.miamibeachfl.gov/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/Featured-Events-Environmental2.jpg END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=America/New_York:20240308T160000 DTEND;TZID=America/New_York:20240308T180000 DTSTAMP:20240329T101207 CREATED:20240304T134803Z LAST-MODIFIED:20240307T212939Z UID:290909-1709913600-1709920800@www.miamibeachfl.gov SUMMARY:Spring Break Beach Cleanup DESCRIPTION:Join City of Miami Beach staff for a day of fun and environmental stewardship.
