En renon\u00e7ant au remplacement traditionnel d&#039;une digue au profit d&#039;un littoral vivant hybride, la ville a \u00e9tabli un nouveau pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent en mati\u00e8re de r\u00e9silience durable et d&#039;am\u00e9nagement participatif.<\/p>\n<p>Le projet a permis de pr\u00e9server et d&#039;\u00e9tendre l&#039;habitat gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la protection de 18 mangroves matures et \u00e0 la plantation de plus de 680 nouvelles mangroves, restaurant ainsi des fonctions \u00e9cologiques vitales, tout en assurant la connectivit\u00e9 des mar\u00e9es et en modernisant les infrastructures respectueuses de la faune.<\/p>\n<p>Pour favoriser l&#039;engagement et l&#039;utilisation du public, une plateforme d&#039;observation en mat\u00e9riaux recycl\u00e9s, des sentiers am\u00e9lior\u00e9s et un acc\u00e8s p\u00e9dagogique \u00e0 la nature ne sont que quelques-unes des principales caract\u00e9ristiques suppl\u00e9mentaires du projet.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c Les projets de restauration du littoral qui restaurent les infrastructures naturelles prot\u00e8gent les communaut\u00e9s c\u00f4ti\u00e8res tout en am\u00e9liorant les habitats, en renfor\u00e7ant la r\u00e9silience et en g\u00e9n\u00e9rant des retomb\u00e9es \u00e9conomiques importantes \u201d, a ajout\u00e9<strong> Nicole Elko, directrice ex\u00e9cutive de l&#039;ASBPA<\/strong>.\u201c Le prix de la meilleure restauration du littoral d\u00e9cern\u00e9 par l&#039;ASBPA vise \u00e0 mettre en valeur ces projets r\u00e9ussis afin de sensibiliser le public et de susciter son soutien. \u201d<\/p>\n<p>Parmi les autres laur\u00e9ats des prix Best Restored Shore 2025 figurent Birch Bay Berm Project, WA ; Indian Island County Park, NY ; et Nueces Bay Marsh Restoration, TX.<\/p>\n<p>Les laur\u00e9ats du prix du meilleur rivage restaur\u00e9 de 2025 seront r\u00e9compens\u00e9s le 8 octobre 2025, lors de la <a href=\"https:\/\/asbpa.org\/asbpa-national-coastal-conference-2025\/\">Conf\u00e9rence nationale c\u00f4ti\u00e8re de l&#039;ASBPA<\/a>, organis\u00e9 en partenariat avec la conf\u00e9rence H2O de la California Shore &amp; Beach Preservation Association, \u00e0 Long Beach, en Californie.
