Une portion de la 12e Rue, entre Ocean Drive et Washington Avenue, sera rebaptis\u00e9e Naomi Wilzig Way.<\/p>\n<p>La d\u00e9nomination de la rue a \u00e9t\u00e9 recommand\u00e9e par la Commission des femmes de Miami Beach et approuv\u00e9e par la suite par la Commission municipale de Miami Beach.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c Naomi Wilzig \u00e9tait une figure culturelle incontournable de la ville \u201d, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 <strong>Laura Dominguez, commissaire de Miami Beach<\/strong>, qui a financ\u00e9 le projet de d\u00e9nomination de la rue. \u201c Elle a os\u00e9 \u00eatre diff\u00e9rente et sa collection refl\u00e8te non seulement son individualit\u00e9, mais aussi sa pers\u00e9v\u00e9rance \u00e0 trouver un lieu pour sa collection unique. \u201d<\/p>\n<p>Situ\u00e9 au 1205 Washington Ave., le World Erotic Art Museum est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme le seul mus\u00e9e des \u00c9tats-Unis enti\u00e8rement consacr\u00e9 \u00e0 l&#039;art \u00e9rotique, avec plus de 4 000 \u0153uvres internationales datant de 300 av. J.-C. \u00e0 nos jours.<\/p>\n<p>Wilzig, d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9e le 7 avril 2015, avait fond\u00e9 le mus\u00e9e dix ans auparavant. Elle \u00e9tait collectionneuse, auteure et conf\u00e9renci\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c J\u2019avais d\u00e9j\u00e0 essuy\u00e9 de nombreux refus \u201d, confia-t-elle \u00e0 un vid\u00e9aste allemand peu avant sa mort. \u201c Malheureusement, le public am\u00e9ricain associe l\u2019art \u00e9rotique \u00e0 la pornographie. Ils craignaient que j\u2019apporte quelque chose de r\u00e9pugnant et de malsain dans leur quartier. \u201d<\/p>\n<p>Issue d&#039;une famille juive orthodoxe, Wilzig raconte avoir commenc\u00e9 sa collection d&#039;objets \u00e9rotiques \u00e0 la demande de son fils, qui cherchait des pi\u00e8ces pour sa collection personnelle. Il s&#039;est alors tourn\u00e9 vers sa m\u00e8re, grande amatrice d&#039;antiquit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c J\u2019aimais cet art parce qu\u2019il montrait la vie.
