DEM works to ensure a more resilient community through collaboration of City Departments and partner agencies. The City&#8217;s mission of providing excellent public service and safety to all who live work and play in Miami Beach is at the core of what this division does when impacted by a major emergency or disaster as well as under blue skies.<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\t\tMiami Beach Emergency Management (DEM)\t<\/h2>\n\t<ul>\n<li>Provide situational awareness to City departments and emergency management
