City of Miami Beach Celebrates Parks and Recreation Month

In celebration of Parks and Recreation Month, the City of Miami Beach is hosting exciting events throughout the month of July for the entire family – even your pooch. The schedule of events is as follows:

Pups & Popsicles
Saturday, July 6 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Washington Avenue Bark Park, 201 2 Street
FREE

Show off your dog’s incredible talents in the costume or best trick contest. Make a memory with your pup at the photo booth and let your best friend refresh at the doggie pool and splash pad. Enjoy a day of music, giveaways, free ice cream and more.

Toddler’s Splash Bash
Friday, July 12 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Flamingo Park Pool, 12 Street & Michigan Avenue
FREE

Parents and children under the age of 4 are invited to enjoy a morning of summer fun filled with music, games, refreshments and more.

Kayak Fun Day
Saturday, July 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Kayak Launch, West of Dickens Avenue and North of 73 Street
$20 for a double kayak rental

Explore Biscayne Bay from a paddler’s perspective and get a chance to experience nature up close. Kayaks are limited and usage time will vary depending on participation. Two-hour max reservation and age restrictions apply (5 & up). Life jacket must be worn at all times and children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
