Daniel Morgalo

Street Crime Section

Captain Daniel Morgalo joined the Miami Beach Police Department in 1999. During his career he has served in a
variety of ranks and capacities including: patrol operations, K-9, crime
suppression, Honor Guard, criminal investigations, internal affairs and
training. Captain Morgalo has also served as the Commander of the Hostage
Negotiation Unit and Mobile Field Force. His most recent assignment was as the
Lieutenant of various property units within the Criminal Investigations Section
of the Department.

Captain Morgalo has an Associate of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Miami-Dade
College and is completing his Bachelor of Arts Degree at Florida International
University. Captain Morgalo is a graduate of the University of Louisville's Southern
Police Institute, Command Officers Development Course, Leadership in Police
Organizations and the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Master Exercise
Practitioner Training Program.
