Yoe Lopez, Jr. joined the City Attorney’s Office as the City’s Municipal Prosecutor. As such, he is responsible for the prosecution of criminal violations of the City's code of ordinances before the County Court in and for Miami-Dade County, Florida. Additionally, Mr. Lopez handles the prosecution of code enforcement matters before the Special Masters of the City of Miami Beach to ensure regulatory compliance with those technical statutes, regulations and codes.

Mr. Lopez also handles various civil litigation matters which include tort, commercial, land use and construction causes of action impacting the City of Miami Beach. Moreover, Mr. Lopez’s responsibilities include providing legal advice and training to the Miami Beach Police Department, drafting/reviewing contracts and agreements, litigating civil forfeiture cases in Circuit Court, and addressing a multitude of legal matters concerning the Miami Beach Police Department.
