<strong>Re-Entry After Evacuation<\/strong><\/nav><h1>\n\t\t\tRe-Entry After Evacuation\t<\/h1>\n\t<p>It is important to heed evacuation orders and curfews. Following a situation that warrants evacuation, all individuals must follow the instructions of Miami Beach Police and other local law enforcement that will staff the entry points to the City of Miami Beach. Local officials, including\u00a0 Emergency Management, Law Enforcement, Fire Department Officials and Public Works will consult to determine when an area is safe enough for individuals to return. The message announcing re-entry into the City will\u00a0<strong>ONLY<\/strong> come from official sources through official avenues such as the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.twitter.com\/miamibeachnews\"><strong>Miami Beach Official Twitter account<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and through local media.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.miamibeachfl.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/FireRescue-911.jpg\" alt=\"911 Fire Rescue Team\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"845\" width=\"2016\" title=\"FireRescue-911\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\" loading='lazy' \/>\n\t<p>First responders and City-assigned individuals who are conducting initial damage assessments will be the first allowed onto the island. Following that, once entry is deemed to be safe, the City may initiate the Re-entry Plan, which permits entry into the City using a phased approach. Information about the status of egress into the City and about whom will be allowed entry will be sent out through official media and social media sources.<\/p>\n<p>The City formerly issued hang-tags for restricted re-entry of certain businesses. <strong>That program is no longer in effect.<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.miamibeachfl.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/womanwithdocuments.jpg\" alt=\"Woman looking at documents\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"2560\" width=\"2560\" title=\"womanwithdocuments\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\" loading='lazy' \/>\n\t<p>All residents and business employees who evacuate the City when an order is given should carry certain documentation in order to assist local officials in cases of extreme circumstances.<\/p>\n<p><strong>These documents include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Driver&#8217;s License,<\/li>\n<li>Proof of Employment (such as Employer credentials, letter on employer letterhead)<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated Need to enter area (such as a work order or inventory list)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>\n\t\t\tPrepare Your Hotel or Condominium Team with Special FREE Training\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>A hotel and condominium Emergency Response Team (ERT) equips employees with skills that enable them to perform basic disaster response operations in an emergency. Having trained volunteers available on staff helps protect the health, safety and lives of people at our workplace. Workplace CERT volunteers are trained using the FEMA CERT Basic Training Curriculum.<\/p>\n<p>The 24-hour course is offered as a combination of days and hours.
